Volleyball Sweeps Pierce in WSC North Finale
The VC volleyball team traveled to Woodland Hills Wednesday, defeating Los Angeles PIerce in three sets to close Western State North Conference play. Madison Mierau recorded nine kills with a .600 hitting percentage and Josephine Rausch also had nine kills hitting .571. Valeria Ibarra and Monaye Ramessar handed out 13 and 12 assists, respectively, and Ibarra added eight digs.

The match was never really close as the Pirates took the first set 25-17. They came back to win the second 25-18 before clinching the victory with a 25-16 third-set win.
Addison Olson had five kills and five blocks while Callie Cahill also recorded five winners at the net. Daphne Raymond hit four kills. Jocelyn Alfar led the defense with nine digs and Shai Daniels had six.
Ventura will next travel to Antelope Valley on Friday Nov. 14 for a WSC Crossover match to close the regular season.
