Volleyball Sweeps Match At Glendale

The VC volleyball team traveled to Glendale College Tuesday night, handing the host Vaqueros a sweeping 3-0 defeat, 25-19, 25-10 and 25-12. Caryssa Castrejon had a solid all-around outing with seven kills, 10 digs and five services aces. Taylor Benitez-Fanslow led the way with 11 kills and nine digs while Jordan Neria recorded 11 digs for the Pirates (8-4).

The VC volleyball team traveled to Glendale College Tuesday night, handing the host Vaqueros a sweeping 3-0 defeat, 25-19, 25-10 and 25-12. Caryssa Castrejon had a solid all-around outing with seven kills, 10 digs and five services aces. Taylor Benitez-Fanslow led the way with 11 kills and nine digs while Jordan Neria recorded 11 digs for the Pirates (8-4).

Daisy Martinez handed out a team-high 14 assists with eight digs defensively and Danielle Garcia recorded 13 helpers.

The Pirates have a quick turn around, hosting Long Beach City College on Wednesday Sept. 27.  The match begins at 7:00 pm at the Athletic Event Center.  They will then host San Diego Mesa on Friday Sept. 29.
