Lacanilao Aces Pirate Volleyball Past West LA
Sophomore libero Cassandra Lacanilao served up 11 aces Friday in VC's three-set victory at West Los Angeles in Culver City. The Rio Mesa product also had a team-high 16 digs as the SoCal No. 15-ranked Pirates prevailed 25-9, 25-10, 25-17 to move to 10-2 on the year.

Sophomore libero Cassandra Lacanilao served up 11 aces Friday in VC's three-set victory at West Los Angeles in Culver City. The Rio Mesa product also had a team-high 16 digs as the SoCal No. 15-ranked Pirates prevailed 25-9, 25-10, 25-17 to move to 10-2 on the year. Tori Hiott led the offense with 11 kills and Mikayla Spears handed out 22 assists.
The Pirates will host Antelope Valley College on Wednesday Sept. 30 at 7:00 pm at the Athletic Event Center before Western State Conference North Division play begins Friday Oct. 2 at Los Angeles Mission College.
