2015-16 Ventura College Women's Soccer Team News
Ventura College women's intercollegiate soccer program will hold its first alumnae game and barbeque to celebrate the program's 20th anniversary on Friday March 11. On this date, the current Pirates will kick-off their non-traditional season with a scrimmage against the alumnae at the Ventura College Sportsplex, with players meeting at 5:00 pm and the game beginning at 6:15 pm. On March 11, the current Lady Pirates team will play against our alumni at the Ventura College Sports Plex; players meet at 5:00 p.m., the game kicks off at 6:15 p.m.
Ventura College women's soccer team dropped their regular season finale 2-1 to Santa Barbara City College. Kat Jordan scored the lone Pirate goal of the game while Josselyne Pereda assisted on the goal. Ventura goal keeper Amy Neidiffer collected five saves in the defeat.
Returning home for the first time in over a week Ventura College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision against Los Angeles Pierce College. Goalkeeper Amy Neidiffer picked up five saves in the game. The Pirate defense excelled in keeping the Pirates in the game.
Traveling to Oxnard College, the Pirates' women's soccer team defeated the Condors 4-1 Friday afternoon. In the victory Megan Henderson netted a hat trick with all her goals in the first 26 minutes of play. Josselyne Pereda put home the other Pirate goal of the match. VC took both matches against the Condors this season.
The Ventura College women's soccer team took down Cuesta College 3-0 in San Luis Obispo Tuesday afternoon. The Pirates were paced offensively by Megan Henderson who netted a pair of goals. Josselyne Pereda scored the other goal for the Pirates. Goalkeeper Amy Neidiffer collected six saves in the shutout victory.

Traveling to Woodland Hills for a game against Los Angeles Pierce College, Ventura College women's soccer dropped a hard fought 2-0 game. VC outshot Pierce by a total of eight to four, but were unable to net any goals in the game. Goalkeeper Amy Neidiffer picked up two saves for the Pirates.

After a string of tough one goal losses, the Ventura College women's soccer team unleashed an offensive onslaught with a 5-0 victory over visiting Cuesta on Friday afternoon. Jennifer Orozco netted a pair of goals and added two assists to lead the Pirates offensive attack while Jennifer Magana added a goal and an assist.

Karen Medina converted an assist from Jennifer Orozco in the 89th minute to help the Pirates salvage a 2-2 tie at Bakersfield College Friday night. Orozco also scored the first goal of the game off of a cross by Kat Jordan in the 24th minute.
