Women's Basketball Earns No. 3 Seed in SoCal Regional Playoffs
The Pirates' women's basketball team has earned the No. 3 seed in the 2016 CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs. VC will host Pasadena or Rio Hondo on Saturday Feb. 27 at 7:00 pm at the Athletic Event Center. This is the fifth year in a row, and eight time in the past nine seasons, that Ventura has earned a top-4 seed in the regional bracket.

The Pirates (26-4) will await the winner of the match up between No. 14 Pasadena (16-13) and No. 19 Rio Hondo (14-13). The Lancers and Roadrunners play Wednesday Feb. 24 at 7:00 pm in Pasadena.
VC split a pair of games in Pasadena, defeating the Lancers 68-61 Nov. 20 at the Glendale Tournament before falling 62-57 on Dec. 5 at the Sequoias Tournament in Visalia. The Pirates beat Rio Hondo 64-45 in the opening round of the VC-Optimist Club Holiday Tournament on Dec. 28.
Ticket prices, set by the CCCAA, are $12.00 for adults and $8.00 for students, seniors and staff. Doors will open at the Athletic Event Center at 6:00 pm Saturday for the 7:00 pm tip-off.
