The Ventura College Athletic Department is assisting the newly-opened Veteran's Resource Center with its Operation Snowflake, which kicks off this weekend. Fans attending Friday's VC women's basketball home opener at 6:00 pm in the VC-Kiwanis Tournament of Champions can gain free admission by donating a basketball, football, soccer ball, baseball or softball.
The operation is headed by VC's Veteran's Resource Center, which had its grand opening this month. All of the donations will be given to the children of veterans as Christmas presents.
If fans cannot make it to Friday's game, they can still drop off donations at the Veterans Resource Center on campus Monday-Thursday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm through the holidays.
Pirate Athletics and the veterans Resource Center thank you for giving a little this holiday to those who gave so much.
