Shea, Anguita and Williams Qualify for State at SoCal Diving

Ventura's Thomas Shea and Daniel Anguita qualified for the 3C2A State Championships for the men and Alexandria Williams qualified for the Pirate women in bot the 1m and 3m diving events at the Western Satte Conference and Southern California Championships Friday at Cypress. Shea led the effort placing fourth in the 1m and third in the 3m dives in the region, respectively, while claiming the WSC title in both events.

VC Swimmers and Divers Compete at Pasadena Invitational

The Ventura College men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed at the Pasadena Invitational hosted at East Los Angeles College Thursday through Saturday. The women's relays were dominant winning three of four races while Olivia Badaracco won a pair of golds. Meanwhile, the VC men won a pair of relays and Jaiden Monroe also earned two first place finishes.

Pirate sophomore Olivia Badarraco had an individual gold and a silver Friday at the WSC No. 3 meet at Santa Monica, and was part of a winning relay team as the VC women came in second of five competing teams. The Ventura men were first as a team.
Marshall, Monroe lead Pirate Swimmers at WSC No. 3

Faith Marshall and Jaiden Monroe led the VC women's and men's swimming and diving teams, respectively, at the Western State Conference meet No. 3 Friday at Santa Monica. Mashall earned a pair of individual golds in the 200-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle events while Monroe won three golds in the 200-yard backstroke and the 100- and 50-yard freestyle races. Olivia Badaracco and Thomas Shea also won events for the Pirates. The VC men won first and the women were second as a team out of five competing schools.
