Men's Polo Moves to WSC Championship Game
One of the best season's in recent memory for the VC men's water polo team got a little batter Friday as the Pirates, the No. 3 -seed in the Western State Conference Tournament, upset No. 2 Los Angeles Valley 14-13 to advance to the conference championship game. Owen Patterson scored four goals, including the game winner with 1:15 left to play, and Evan Augusta also netted four scores with a pair of assists in the contest at the Ventura Aquatic Center.

Daniel Vadas scored twice for Ventura (20-12, 3-2) and had eight steals and Patrik Bötkös drew six ejections as the Pirates reached the 20-win plateau for the first time since 2016 and the second time since 2006. Bryce Biglin recorded eight saves n the cage with four thefts.
The Pirates will play in the WSC championship game for the fort time in four years and the second time since 2013. They will face Top-seeded Cuesta at 1:45 pm at the Ventura Aquatic Center.
