Tassano, Amorim All-WSC in Men's Water Polo

The two leading scorers for the the VC men's water polo team, Daniel Amorim and Dominic Tassano, were named first-team All-Western State Conference in voting by the conference coaches last month.

Men's Polo Ends Season at WSC Tournament

The Pirates' men's water polo team dropped the third-place match at the Western State Conference Tournament at Citrus College 18-6 against Cuesta. VC finished fourth in the tournament and concludes its 2014 season.

Men's Polo Falls in Conference Semifinals

After defeating Santa Monica 17-1 in the Western State Conference quarterfinals, the No. 4-seeded Pirates dropped their semifinal match-up with No. 1 Los Angeles Valley 15-10 Friday in the tournament being held at Citrus College.

Playing their home finale on the final day of the regular season, the Pirates' men's water polo team split a pair of matches Friday at the Ventura Aquatic Center. VC defeated Mt. San Antonio 17-14 in the opener before falling to Fullerton 12-6 in the nightcap.

Pirates Close WSC Season With Win

The Pirates' men's water polo team closed the 2014 conference season with a solid19-12 victory at Santa Monica College Wednesday afternoon. Daniel Amorim led VC (5-20, 1-3) with six goals while J'son Ruiz stopped 10 Corsair shots in the match.

Men's Polo Drops Two to Complete Golden West Tourney

The Ventura College men's water polo team was unable to gain momentum from their victory Saturday, dropping a pair of matches to close the Golden West Tournament Saturday. VC fell to Orange Coast 18-8 in the first match, followed by a 14-7 setback to Riverside City College.

Men's Water Polo Splits First Day at Golden West

The Ventura College men's water polo team broke through on the winning side in their second match of the day at the Golden West Tournament in Huntington Beach Friday. VC dropped the opener to West Valley, 30-14, before coming back to defeat American River 14-11 in the nightcap.

Piling on to an already frustrating season, the Pirates' men's water polo team dropped a 23-5 decision to Citrus Wednesday afternoon at the Ventura Aquatic Center in Western State Conference play. Trevor Edwards had a pair of goals to lead VC.

Men's Polo Unable to Sustain Effort at Cuesta

The Pirates' men's water polo had a strong first quarter in San Luis Obispo Wednesday, but were unable to sustain the effort at Cuesta College, dropping the Western State Conference match, 20-6. Dominic Tassano and Daniel Amorim each scored two goals for VC.

Men's Polo Falls Twice at Riverside

The VC men's water polo continued a troubling trend in their two matches completing the Riverside City College Tournament Saturday. Ventura fell to Palomar 15-9 in the morning before dropping the tournament finale to host Riverside 19-10 in the afternoon.

The Ventura College men's water polo team continued the good fight Friday despite falling in their first two matches of the Riverside Tournament. VC lost to Long Beach 17-6 in the opener before falling 15-8 to Grossmont in the second match of the day.

Pirates Fall Twice to Conclude ARC Tournament

Following a pair of wins Friday, the Pirates' men's water polo team fell to defeat twice Saturday in Sacramento to complete the American River Tournament. THe Pirates lost to the gold Coast Masters 17-7 before falling to Sierra 12-4 in the finale.

Men's Water Polo Turns It Around at ARC

The VC men's water polo turned things around Friday with a pair of solid victories on the first day of the American River Tournament in Sacramento Friday. The Pirates defeated Santa Rosa 11-4 in the opener before defeating he hosts 12-11 in the nightcap.

Men's Polo Falls to LA Valley

For the second time in 10 days, the Pirates' men's water polo team fell to Los Angeles Valley College. Wednesday's 17-5 decision was the team's Western State Conference opener at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Daniel Amorin and Dominic Tassano each scored two goals to lead VC (1-8, 0-1).

The VC men's water polo team fell to their Alumni counterparts on Saturday 18-11 in a contest at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Daniel Amorim led the current Pirates with eight goals in the match.

MPolo Close Tough Weekend at Cuesta

The VC men's water polo team finished off a tough weekend at the Cuesta Tournament in San Luis Obispo with a pair of losses on Saturday. The Pirates dropped a close decision to Riverside 13-11 before falling to Western State Conference foe Los Angeles Valley 19-3 in the tournament finale.
