Pirates Fall to Citrus in WSC Action

Piling on to an already frustrating season, the Pirates' men's water polo team dropped a 23-5 decision to Citrus Wednesday afternoon at the Ventura Aquatic Center in Western State Conference play. Trevor Edwards had a pair of goals to lead VC.

Piling on to an already frustrating season, the Pirates' men's water polo team dropped a 23-5 decision to Citrus Wednesday afternoon at the Ventura Aquatic Center in Western State Conference play.  Trevor Edwards had a pair of goals to lead VC (3-17, 0-3).

In addition to Edwards' scores, Mitchell Ongstad, Tyler Bleiberg and Michael Barbosa all scored goals.  J'son Ruiz had five saves in goal.

The Pirates travel to the Golden West Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24 and 25.  They will take on West Valley and American River colleges on Friday at Cerritos College before battling Orange Coast and Riverside on saturday at Cerritos and Golden West, respectively.
