VC Men Earn No. 4 seed in SoCal Regionals

The Pirates' men's tennis team has earned the No. 4 seed in the 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs. Ventura, led by singles and doubles state qualifier Victor Peyrebonne, will host No. 5 San Diego City on Tuesday Apr. 7 at the VC Tennis Center at 2:00 pm.

Ventura finished the season with an overall mark of 13-9, 9-3 against California Community College teams. Their 4-2 Western State Conference mark placed them second in the standings. Four WSC squads qualified for the post-season, including No. 3 Bakersfield, No. 7 Glendale and No. 8 Santa Barbara. 

The Knights are the only playoff representative from the Pacific Coast Conference, posting a season record of 10-4 and a 6-0 mark in conference play.

The winner of Tuesday's match will face the winner of No. 1 Irvine Valley and Santa Barbara on Tuesday Apr. 14.
