2020 VC Men's Golf Review

In a season that concluded with a "what if," the Ventura College men’s golf team looked to make a deep run into the CCCAA State Championships in May.  When the 2020 season was suspended due to the coronavirus, the Pirates were alone in second place in the difficult Western State Conference, trailing only defending state champion College of the Canyons. The Pirates had three runner-up finishes and a pair of third-place finishes in five WSC events. In addition to the stellar play of sophomore Mason Teron, two freshmen, Evan Colborn and Steen Zeman each notched individual third-place finishes at separate events.

VC Steen Zeman shot a season-best 2-under par 70 on Monday at Santa Maria Country Club to lead VC to a second place finish at the WSC No. 5 hosted by Allan Hancock College.
