Pirate Football Announces 11 Early Signees
Ventura College football head coach Steve Mooshagian has announced that 11 Pirates from the 2025 Northern Conference champions have signed early with four-year schools across the country. Many are mid-year transfers working out with their new teams this spring. Six have matriculated to NCAA Division I schools, five in the Football Championship Series, another to NCAA Division II and four to NAIA schools.

The Pirates early signees include: Love Adebayo (RB Northern Iowa FCS D-1), Desmond Arthur (DL University of Pikeville NAIA), Jayden Burns (DL University of Pikeville NAIA), Ryan Gillum (TE Cal Poly SLO FCS D-1), Koen Glover (RB Cal Poly SLO FCS D-1), Silas Kemp (WR University of Northern Colorado FCS D-1), Tayvion McCoy (WR Cal Poly SLO FCS D-1), Keiveon Moore (LB University of Pikeville NAIA), Domata Peko Jr. (Edge University of Colorado FBS D-1), Kendric Smith (WR Ottawa University- Arizona NAIA) and Devin Tate (QB University of Nebraska-Kearney D2).
These 11 bring the total to 362 transfers in Mooshagian's 16-year tenure and 481 since 1997.
