VC Football Transfers Up to 30 From 2017 Conference Champs

Ventura College football and head coach Steve Mooshagian are proud to update that 30 Pirates from the 2017 4-peat Northern Conference champions have inked scholarships or committed to play at four-year schools in the fall. 

In the Pirates' class of 2017, 14 transfers will play football at the NCAA Division I level, with eight playing in the Football Bowl Series and six in the Football Championship series. 11 former Pirates will play at the NCAA Division II level while three will play at NAIA schools.

The 30 transfers from the 2017 team helped the Pirates win their fourth straight Northern Conference crown with an undefeated conference season, running the program's Northern Conference winning streak to 15 games over the past three seasons. VC played in the SCFA semifinals for the second consecutive season, the third time in the past four years.

With the addition of these transfers, Coach Mooshagian has now helped 190 student athletes move on to the four-year level in his eight years at the helm of the Pirates' ship.
