Luton Earns SCFA Offensive Player of the Week Honor

Pirate quarterback Jake Luton has another great week in the Pirates' Northern Conference opener at Canyons Saturday. He passed for 296 yards on a 29-40 performance with five touchdown passes. He also ran for another score and led scoring drives of 88, 68, 96, 26, 48, 79 and 78 yards in VC's 48-25 victory. Luton, a transfer sophomore from Marysville, Wash., has earned the Southern California Football Association Northern Conference Offensive Co-Player of the Week Award for his efforts.

Pirate quarterback Jake Luton has another great week in the Pirates' Northern Conference opener at Canyons Saturday.  He passed for 296 yards on a 29-40 performance with five touchdown passes.  He also ran for another score and led scoring drives of 88, 68, 96, 26, 48, 79 and 78 yards in VC's 48-25 victory.  Luton, a transfer sophomore from Marysville, Wash., has earned the Southern California Football Association Northern Conference Offensive Co-Player of the Week Award for his efforts.  It is the second SCFA Player of the Week Award this season for Jake.
