FB Has Five Mid-Year Transfers

Pirate head football coach Steve Mooshagian has announced that five Pirates from the 2013 Pirate football team have transferred to four-year schools at mid-year, making them eligible to participate in spring practice at their new schools. One is transferring to NCAA Division I Football Bowl Series, one is moving on to an NCAA Division I Football Championship Series school, one to NCAA Division II, and two to an NAIA institution. These five helped VC to a two-year mark of 17-5 and two bowl appearances, in addition to the 2012 SCFA Northern Conference championship. In the past four years, VC has now matriculated 71 players to four-year schools under coach Mooshagian. The team anticipates more transfers in the post-signing day period.
