The VC baseball team held a 4-0 lead midway through the game but could not hold the lead, falling 5-4 Saturday at El Camino College in Torrance. Jacob Tostado recorded a pair of hits with a run batted in and Lucas Martinov also had two hits and scored a run. Caden Stillwell and Henry Borjas also produced RBI, Jacob Roa pitched into the fifth, giving up three runs, two earned and Austin Kurr had two innings of scoreless relief.

Baseball Drops Double-Header at Riverside

The VC baseball team dropped a pair of games in a doubleheader at Riverside City College Saturday afternoon, 4-1 and 11-2. Grant Rodriguez had a pair of hits with a run batted in in the twin bill while Hector Pina also had two hits. Jacob Roa pitched six innings and gave up two earned runs in the opener taking the hard luck loss and Jacob Tostado yielded three earned runs over five frames in the nightcap.

Ventura Falls In Non-Conference Game at Irvine Valley

The Pirate baseball team dropped a 10-4 decision at Irvine Valley College Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play. Daniel Aguilera had three hits and a pair of runs batted in while Hector Pina recorded three singles and scored a run. Grant Rodriguez had a single and a double and also plated a score for the Pirates. The VC bullpen threw three innings scattering four hits and striking out three while giving up a single run.

9-Run Inning Fuels Pirate Victory

The VC baseball team used a nine-run fifth inning to fuel a 12-6 win at Compton Saturday afternoon. Henry Borjas was 3-5 on the day wit hthree runs batted in and two runs scored to lead the way for the Pirates (2-2). Ben Drumheller knocked in a pair of runs on two hits and Matthew Ramirez scored twice for VC in the victory.Ramirez, Jacob Tostado and Lucas Martinov all had extra base hits in the game.
