Richards, Fulk Compete in State Championships
Ventura's Brianna Richards and Henry Fulk competed in the 3C2A Women's and Men's Cross Country Championships, respectively, Saturday at Fresno's Woodward Park. Richards ran 29th out of the 169 runners in the women's 5k race while Fulk placed 77th out of 194 competitors in the men's 4-mile run.
Ventura's Brianna Richards and Henry Fulk competed in the 3C2A Women's and Men's Cross Country Championships, respectively, Saturday at Fresno's Woodward Park. Richards ran 29th out of the 169 runners in the women's 5k race while Fulk placed 77th out of 194 competitors in the men's 4-mile run.
Richards, a freshman from Oxnard High School, ran the course in 19:19 to place 29th in the championships. Her race was 10 seconds off her pace earlier this year on the same course in sunny but cool conditions.
Fulk, meanwhile, ran the 4-mile course in 21:39 to finish in the top half of the field. The Foothill Tech product shaved 34 seconds off his time for earlier this season at Woodward Park.
The Mt. San Antonio women and the Cuyamaca men won the team competition in the championships.
