The VC women's water polo team shot down the Cerritos Falcons 17-3 Saturday in Santa Barbara to conclude the 2024 regular season. Kelsee Espitia scored four goals to lead the Pirates (17-10, 3-2) while Mikela De Aguiar and Ella Montano each netted three scores. Montano added three assists and grabbed five steals in the game and Milla Malesich also recorded five thefts. Jojo Thayne recorded four assists and three steals.
The Pirates' women's water polo team came from behind and held on against Cuesta for a 10-9 Western State Conference victory Wednesday at the Ventura Aquatic Center. VC's big three of Kelsee Espitia, AnnMarie Patterson and Ella Montano each scored three goals while Ava Carey recorded eight saves in goal to preserve the triumph.
The Pirates' women's water polo team easily topped Santa Monica 15-2 in their Western State Conference opener Wednesday. Kelsee Espitia led a balnaced attack with four goals and three assists while Ella Montano, Stevie Sturges and Devin Varela all netted two scores each. Mikela De Aguiar scored a goal with three assists and a steal and Milla Malesich scored once with six steals defensively.
