Pirates Earn First Win of '14
The Ventura College women's tennis team opened the VC North/South Challenge with a strong 5-1 victory over College of the Sequoias on Friday afternoon. Yannick Garcia and Jessica Moore picked up an 8-3 win in No. 1 doubles before they each earned a point in Nos. 1 and 2 singles, respectively. Karissa Coronel and Georgia Farrar won their No. 3 doubles match 8-4 and Brianna Ruton was victorious in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: The Ventura College women's tennis team opened the VC North/South Challenge with a strong 5-1 victory over College of the Sequoias on Friday afternoon. The Pirates contuinue play in the VC North/South Challenge on Saturday Feb. 15 with matches against Chabot at 9:00 am and Fresno at 3:00 pm at the VC Tennis Center.
