VC Falls at Defending State Champion Cerritos
The road has been difficult for the Pirate soccer team, never more so than Sunday afternoon in Cerritos. VC traveled to take on the Falcons, coming away with a 4-1 loss to the defending state champions. Miranda Vasquez scored the Pirates' lone goal in the 59th minute off a corner kick.

The young Pirates continue their non-conference docket with a pair of road games in the coming week, Tuesday Sept. 26 at Santa Monica and Friday Sept. 29 at Bakersfield. VC will return home on Tuesday Oct. 3 against Citrus at 6:00 pm.
