The Pirate soccer team seemed to building on a pattern of one game on and one game off Tuesday, falling 1-0 at East Los Angeles College. Eight games into the season, VC (3-4-1) has not won, lost or tied more than one game in succession, and that continued against the Huskies. Ventura had 13 shots in the match with 10 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Eva Mcmillan had four saves in the goal defensively.

The Pirates return to the pitch on Friday Sept. 22 at the VC Sportsplex. VC will host Los Angeles Pierce College at 6:00 pm.
