This is the second time VC has earned this national academic award, also receiving recognition in 2009-10 with a 3.15 team GPA.
THis honor comes on the heels of the announcement that VC sophomore Sophia Chandler has been named one of 11 community college players from across the nation as First-Team Academic All-American by the NSCAA. She will receive her award at the upcoming national convention in Philadelphia.
