Pirate Soccer Earns No. 6 Seed
The Ventura College women's soccer team has earned another home contest. Ventrua (14-4-2), the No. 6 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs, and will host No. 11 Orange Coast College (12-4-4) on Saturday Nov. 23. Kickoff in the battle of the Pirates is scheduled for 7:00 pm at the VC Sportsplex. Ventura, whose schedule featured nine matches against playoff teams, finished second in the Western State Conference North Division for just the third time in the past 18 years, a mere two points from the top spot. Orange Coast, meanwhile, finished second in the Orange Empire Conference behind No. 2 Santiago Canyon.

Ticket prices for Saturday's match, set by the California Community College Athletic Association, will be $10 for adults and $7 for students, seniors, and children. The winner of Saturday's match will play the winner of No. 14 Los Angeles Pierce at No. 3 San Bernardino Valley, which will also be played on Saturday.
