Pirate Women Claim First WSC Title Since 1984.

On the strength of 11 individual Western State Conference gold medals, including five from Stina Johansson, two each from Ariana Vera and Charlotte Allison along with golds by Cassandra O'Reilly and Citllali Cortez, the Ventura College women's track and field team captured its first WSC team championship in 38 years Friday in Santa Monica. The VC men finished seventh in the conference finals as both teams turn their attention to the SoCal Preliminaries coming up May 6.

Pirates Compete at APU's Franson Classic

The VC men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Franson Classic at Asuza Pacific University on Saturday with more solid results from multiple athletes. Aubriana Smith and Ariana Vera headlined accomplishments on the women's side in the 100m and 200m, respectively. Meanwhile Jaedon Rogers continued to excel in the triple jump and Ramiro Mateos made a strong debut in the 3000m steeplechase for the Pirate men.

Pirate track & Field Opens Season at WSC Relays

Conditions were great in Lancaster Friday as the VC men's and women's track and field teams opened their 2022 campaign at the Western State Conference Relays hosted by Antelope Valley College. Cassandra O'Reilly and Charlotte Allison both claimed golds for the Ventura women while Jaedon Rogers pcked up a win for the men as a number of athletes turned in solid performances on opening day.
