2020 was already a transition yer for the Ventura College track and field teams. With former VC All-American and new head coach Tomak Czerwinski at the helm, the Pirates began anew in January and racked up some solid performances before the season was stopped in mid-March due to the coronavirus.
The Pirates' men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Bakersfield Friday for the Western State conference North meet hosted by the Renegades. VC brought home eight individual victories on the day. Julian Gibson, Jake Reinwald and Jaedon Rogers all captured gold for the Ventrua men while Alisann Tolosa, Brieanna Tafoya, Olivia Burton and Aubrianna Smith led the way for the VC women.
The Pirate Men's and Women's track and field teams traveled to West Los Angeles on Friday to face conference foes in the Western State Conference Relays. The Pirate women had a successful day winning multiple relays on the track while the VC men also brought home some hardware in the non-scoring meet.
