Pirate Softball Headed for Playoffs
Fresh off their second straight Western State Conference North Division championship, the VC softball team is headed back to the post-season. The Pirates received the No. 18 seed in the 3C2A Southern California Playoffs and will travel to No. 15 Orange Coast on Tuesday Apr. 28 in a play-in game against the Pirates of the south.

Ventura finished the season with an overall record of 21-18. However, they dropped 14 of their first 17 games before winning 18 of its final 22 contests, completing a 12-0 conference season, the first undefeated WSC campaign for Ventura since 1981.
Orange Coast, meanwhile, is 19-20 on the season. They were 13-8 in Orange Empire Conference play, finishing in fourth place in the conference.
The Pirates and Pirates will face off in Costa Mesa on Tuesday Apr. 28 at 2:00 pm.
