Men's Water Polo moves to 3-0 at Cypress Tourney
The Pirates' men's water polo team moved to 3-0 on the young season with a pair of victories at the Cypress Tournament Friday. VC defeated El Camino 21-8 in the morning before coming back to defeat Cerritos 17-8 in the nightcap. Owen Patterson and Evan Augsta scores eight and seven goals, respectively, in the two victories and Wyatt Dingman netted four scores in the opener.

Dingman scored four goals in the opener as VC easily defeated El Camino 21-8. The Pirates raced out to a 7-1 lead after the first quarter and never looked back against the Warriors.
Patterson netted four goals with three steals while Augusta had three scores, two assists and two thefts. Dingman also added a pair of helpers and a steal. Nico Rosado helped the cause with two goals and Patrik Bötkös had a goal and four ejections drawn.
Ventura posted a 3-0 lead against Cerritos in the nightcap after the first period en route to their 17-8 triumph. Augusta had four goals and handed out eight assists and Patterson netted four scores with a steal and three ejections drawn. Milos Djanic and Daniel Vadas also scored three goals each.
Ventura continues play at the Cypress Tournament on Saturday Sept. 6 against Chaffey at 10:30 am before playing San Diego Mesa or host Cypress in the weekend finale.
