Three Pirates Named First Team All-WSC for Men's Polo
The VC men;s water polo team had three players earn first team All-Western State Conference awards in voting by the conference coaches. Owen Patterson, Evan Augusta and Thomas Shea all earned first-team All-WSC accolades for Ventura.
The VC men;s water polo team had three players earn first team All-Western State Conference awards in voting by the conference coaches. Owen Patterson, Evan Augusta and Thomas Shea all earned first-team All-WSC accolades for Ventura.
Patterson, a freshman from Strathmore, led the team in scoring in 2024 with 70 goals in 21 games played. He also had 29 steals and 51 exclusions drawn, also a team best.
Augusta was second on the team in scoring with 61 goals and led the Pirates with 50 assists. The first-year attacker from Ventura High School also pulled in 34 steals defensively.
Shea, a freshman from Royal High School in Simi Valley, was a steady presence for VC with 29 goals, 24 assists and 21 steals.
Freshman utility player Boaz Biglin and sophomore attacker Wyatt Dingman earned second-team All-WSC honors while sophomore utility player Michael Soho and first-year defender Brayden Black were named honorable mention all-conference.
VC finished the 2024 season with a 13-13 mark overall and came in third in the WSC Tournament at the end of the year.
