Coimbra and Mondroha advance to State Final Four in doubles

Ventura's doubles top doubles pair of Caua Coimbra and Abladj Mondroha extended their season Saturday with a solid 6-3, 6-3 win in the 3C2A State Championships quarterfinal round over a pair from Irvine Valley. They advance to the State Final Four on the final day of The Ojai Tournament SUnday Apr. 26.

Ventura's doubles top doubles pair of Caua Coimbra and Abladj Mondroha extended their season Saturday with a solid 6-3, 6-3 win in the 3C2A State Championships quarterfinal round over a pair from Irvine Valley. They advance to the State Final Four on the final day of The Ojai Tournament SUnday Apr. 26.

Coimbra and Mondroha defeated the No. 3 duo from team state champion Irvine Valley on Saturday in Ojai in straight sets.

Their win sets up a match-up against the top team from San Diego City College scheduled for 8:30 am Sunday Apr. 26 in Lower Libby Park in Ojai. In the other semifinal, No. 1 teams from Irvine Valley and Bakersfield will be playing for the right to go to the state championship doubles match scheduled for 2:30 pm.
