Men's Tennis Falls to No. 2-Ranked Cerritos

The Ventura College men's tennis team fell to No. 2-ranked Cerritos 8-0 Friday at the VC Tennis Center. THe match was closer than the score indicated, however, as Manu Rowe extended his No. 3 singles match to a third set after dropping a second set tiebreaker. Damon Mitchell extended the first set of his No. 6 singles match to a tiebreaker before darkness suspended his contest three games into the second set. 

Rowe dropped the first set of his match 6-2 before coming back to take the second, 6-7.  He ultimately lost the tiebreaker set 10-6. 

Cruz Thayne fell in his No. 4 singles match 6-3, 7-6, and the doubles team of Augustin Lestelle and Mitchell fell in No. 2 doubles 8-6.

Ventura (8-2, 6-0) will host Riverside on Tuesday March 14 at 2:00 pm before resuming Western State Conference action on Thursday March 16.
