Ventura Tennis Doubles-Up Glendale, 6-3

In a match rescheduled from February 7, the Pirates' men's tennis team doubled up visiting Glendale College 6-3 Thursday afternoon at the VC Tennis Center.  Cruz Thayne led the way with an easy 6-0, 6-2 victory in No. 4 singles and partnered with Bill Whitaker to win in No. 2 doubles, 8-4. Rodrigo Perdigao was also a double-winner in No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-4, and in No. 3 doubles with Manu Rowe, 8-4.  Rowe was also victorious for Ventura (4-1, 4-0) in No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-2.

Florent Auteuil had the final point for the Pirates with a win in No. 6 singles, 6-3, 7-5.

Ventura will host Grossmont on Friday March 3 at 2:00 pm before hosting Saddleback on Saturday March 4 at 12:00 noon.
