Ventura Takes WSC #4 at Allan Hancock

The VC golf team posted a score of 378 Monday at the Santa Maria Country Club to win the Western State Conference No. 4 event hosted by Allan Hancock. VC defeated second place Canyons by four strokes on the day and Santa Barbara was third, nine strokes back. Daniel Darwin, Matthew Fisher and Ian Chapital all carded a 3-over 75 to lead the way in the victory.

While darwin, Fisher and Chapital led the way for VC, Logan Gonzalez also had a strong day with a 4-over 76, finishing in a tie for sixth individually. Brandon Flores tied for 11th by carding a 5-over 77 and Nick Bublitz did not have his score added to the Pirates' team score, but her posted a 6-over 78.

Ventura will next head to Bakersfield for the WSC No. 5 event on Monday Mar. 10.
