On the final day of competition in the Covid-shortened 2021 season, the Ventura College golf team battled Antelope Valley in a two-man best ball format at the "Western State Conference Championships" held at Ventura's Olivas Links Golf Course. The Pirate duo of Steen Zeman and Kaden Santos won the event with a 3-under 69 followed by Evan Colborn and Joshua Calderon who carded a 1-under 71.

Pirate golfer Steen Zeman shot a 2-over 74 Monday at the Saddleback Invitational, good for a fourth-place tie overall, as VC carded a team score of 406, good for sixth place in the event.
Golf Competes at Saddleback Invitational

The VC golf team traveled to Orange County Monday to compete in the Saddleback Invitational at the par-72 Tijeras Creek Golf Club. Steen Zeman was the low man for the Pirates with a 2-over 74, good for a tie for fourth place overall as Ventura posted a team score of 406, placing sixth of the eight participating teams.

Evan Colborn shot a 1-over 73 on Monday on the Victoria Lakes Course of River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard to share medalist honors with teammate Aaron Friedland. The Pirates posted a team score of 380, defeating Antelope Valley's 421.

Evan Colborn and Aaron Friedland each shot a 1-over 73 Monday, and Steen Zeman turned in a 2-over 74 to lead the Ventura College golf team past Antelope Valley Monday at he River Ridge Golf Course, Victoria Lakes Course. The Pirates carded a team total of 380 to defeat the visiting Marauders, who scored 421. Allan Hancock College also competed, but did not field enough players for a team score.
