Kakimoto Ties for 3rd as Pirates Place 4th at WSC No. 8

VC sophomore Denis Kakimoto tied for third place with a 1-over 73 Monday at the Western State Conference Victor Valley event at Spring Valley Lake Country Club in Victorville. As a team, Ventura carded a 397 to come in fourth place, behind Canyons (368), Santa Barbara (384) and Glendale (391).

Connor Philpott was next for the Pirates with a 78, followed by Joey Herrera (79), Aaron Friedland (83), Jonathon Ortiz (84) and Adam Franc (88).

Ventura will next tee it up at WSC No. 9 at Santa Maria Country Club on Monday April 2. The match will be hosted by Allan Hancock College.
