Pirates Place Third at WSC-Glendale
The Ventura College golf team carded a third place finish at the Western State Conference event at Oakmont Country Club hosted by Glendale College Monday. The Pirates posted a team score of 403, finishing well behind Canyons (381) and the host Vaqueros (381). Kyle Dollison was the low man for VC with a 5-over par 76, good for fourth place individually and Connor Philpott came in tied for seventh with a 78.

The rest of the VC golfers included Joey Herrera (80), Brandon Resnick (83), Denis Kakimoto (86) and Ethan Winkler (87).
Through seven events this season, Ventura (41-8) remains in second place behind Canyons (45-4) and ahead of Santa Barbara (35-14). There are four rounds left in the conference season, including two at the WSC Championships.
The Pirates return to the course on Monday April 17 in Victorville at the conference event hosted by Victor Valley at Spring Valley Lake Country Club.
