Golf Fifth at Desert Invitational Out of 19 Teams

Ventura College men's golf team traveled to Palm Springs to take part in the Desert Invitational at Desert Island Country Club. On the strength of a Matt Sieger round of 74 and Kyle Dollison with an identical 74 the Pirates were able to bring home a fifth place finish. Austin Kratochvil fired a 76 to go with Brandon Resnick who finished with a 76 also.

The four Pirates who fired in the 70's helped Ventura to finish with a 380 team total which put them just five shots away from third place. Only two Pirates finished outside of the 70's. Ventura was just two strokes behind conference rival College of the Canyons who finished with  a 378.

Ventura will return to Western State Conference play on Monday Mar. 21 with a trip out to the high desert to take part in the Antelope Valley match to be hosted at Antelope Valley Country Club.
