Smith leads large contingent of Pirates on All-WSC squad
Ventura College's Jerimiyah Smith was named the Western State Conference North Division Most Outstanding Player for the 2025-26 season, leading a contingent of six Pirates on the all-conference squad. Snookey Wigington, Baron Bellamy and Kam'Ron Cigar joined Smith with first team All-WSC honors while Jeremiah Wilson and Kevin Anigbogu both received honorable mention nods. Acting head coach Kane Daniels was name dthe WSC North Coach of the Year.

Smith, a sophomore out of Rancho Cucamonga, was dominant all season, averaging 20.1 points per game and adding 9.7 rebounds. He shot an amazing 63.6 percent from the floor, 38.6 percent from beyond the 3-point line, and 68.3 percent from the free throw line making him one of the top scorers in the state in earning the MOP honors for the conference.
Wigington, meanwhile, anchored the Pirate attack from his point guard position, handing out 7.3 assists per outing. The sophomore from Los Angeles also contributed 16.2 points per game and pulled in 3.8 steals each contest. He also slashed 43.4/36.6/81.6 shooting during the season.
Bellamy came through averaging 10.3 points and 4.5 boards per outing for VC in 2025-26. A sophomore from Los Angles, he shot a team-best 86.3 percent from the free throw line in earning All-WSC honors.
Cigar, meanwhile, scored at a 14.4 average per game. The sophomore from San Pedro slashed 49.6/42.9/73.0 shooting while recording 3.4 rebounds per game.
Wilson, a sophomore from Los Angeles, averaged 8.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game while Anigbogu, a sophomore from Eastvale, shored up the middle with 6.4 points and 4.8 boards per outing.
Daniels, who took over the head coaching duties after Christmas, led VC to an overall mark of 25-5 and 11-1 in WSC North play, securing the program's 26th conference crown.
