Men's Basketball Tips Off 2016-17 Season With Midnight Madness
The Ventura College men's basketball team will tip-off the 2016-17 season with its annual Midnight Madness event Saturday night at the Athletic Event Center. The evening will begin at 10:00 pm and will include high school scrimmages and 3-point shooting and dunk contests, i addition to an intrasquad scrimmage featuring the Pirates under sixth-year head coach Joey Ramirez.

The evening will begin at 10:00 pm and will include high school scrimmages and 3-point shooting and dunk contests, in addition to an intrasquad scrimmage featuring the Pirates under sixth-year head coach Joey Ramirez.
A high school scrimmages will begin the evening at 10:00 pm, featuring Oxnard vs. Rio Mesa. The Pirates will follow at 10:30pm, then Buena vs. Ventura at 11:15. The evening will conclude with 3-point shooting and dunk contests featuring high school players and members of the 2016-17 Ventura College team.
Admission for the evening's events is $5 for all fans.
VC will open the regular season with the We Play Hard Tip-Off Tournament November 3-5 at the Athletic Event Center.
