Borjas Leads Pirates on All-WSC North Division Squad
Pirate outfielder Henry Borjas led a contingent of Pirates who were named to the All-Western State Conference North Division baseball team for the 2025 season. The sophomore from Rio Mesa High School earned a first team All-WSC nod for his play during the season and was also awarded a Gold Glove award as one o fthe conference's top defenders at his position.Caden Stillwell and Matthew Ramirez each were named second team all-conference.

Borjas appeared in all 39 games in 2025 for the Pirates. He led the team in batting average (.342), on base percentage (.447), hits (53), runs (42), home runs (2), and walks drawn (27) while placing second in runs batted in (31) and stolen bases (5). He posted a .426 slugging percentage which was also second on the team. Defensively he had 123 put-outs primarily in center field, with one outfield assist with just one error. His .992 fielding percentage helped lead to his defensive Gold Glove award.
Stillwell, a sophomore from Thousand Oaks High School, slashed .328/.393/.467 leading VC in slugging (.467), doubles (12) and RBI (32). the first baseman/utility player appeared in seven games as a pitcher, starting four, throwing 42 innings with a 1.50 WHIP.
Meanwhile, Ramirez also earned a second team all-conference nod at third base. A freshman from Moorpark High School, Ramirez hit .322/.393/.364 with 39 hits and 19 RBI. He also led the team with six stolen bases.
Grant Rodriguez (infield), Jacob Roa (pitcher) and Lucas Martinov (catcher) earned Honorable Mention All-WSC accolades.
Ventura finished the season with a 17-22 overall record with a 12-12 mark in WSC North play.
