The VC baseball team dropped a 12-3 decision at Los Angeles Pierce College Tuesday in Woodland Hills, dropping the season series against the Brahmas. Matthew Ramirez was 3-5 with a double and a run scored and Grant Rodriguez had a pair of hits, including a double, and a run batted in. Brandon Contreras had a pair of hits with two runs batted in and a run scored while Tommy Castaneda and Lucas Martinov also recorded a pair of hits each with an RBI and a run scored. The Ventura College baseball team erased a 10-1 deficit at Los Angeles Mission Wednesday only to fall 12-10 against the Eagles in Sylmar. Roa Leads Pirate Shutout of Condors

VC pitcher Jacob Roa scattered three hits over seven scoreless innings and Cole Blommer struck out for our his six outs to finish the job as Ventura finished a three-game sweep over Oxnard 8-0 Saturday at Pirate Park. Matthew Ramirez was 3-4 at the plate with a run scored and Henry Borjas recorded a pair of hits with three runs batted in and a run scored in the shutout victory.

Drumheller Pitches Gem In Pirate Win

Ben Drumheller had his best start of the season Tuesday, taking a no-hitter against Oxnard into the eighth inning in Ventura's 7-1 win over the Condors at Pirate Park. Lucas Martinov had three hits, including a double, and scored two runs while Henry Borjas drove in three scores. Caden Stillwell belted out a pair of double and had an RBI for the Pirates in the victory.

Baseball Falls Late in San Luis Obispo

The VC baseball team dropped a 10-9 decision in walk-off fashion Tuesday at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. The Pirates led 9-7 heading to the bottom of the seventh but were unable to close out the Cougars. Matthew Ramirez had two hits with two runs batted in and a run scored in the game while Jacob Tostado had three RBI on a pair of hits while also scoring once for the Pirates (6-10, 4-3).

Ventura Sweeps Series from Moorpark

The VC baseball team honored retired coach Don Adams Saturday at Pirate Park, then proceeded to complete a sweep of rival Moorpark 19-5. Tommy Castaneda had a single and a double, knocking in three runs and scoring three more while Caden Stillwell also had a pair of hits, including a double, with three RBI and two runs scored. Jacob Roa pitched into the sixth inning, giving up two runs and scattering six hits while fanning four Raiders to pick up the win.

The VC baseball team won their second straight game against Moorpark Thursday, 11-6. Daniel Aguilera recorded three hits, including a pair of doubles, on the day with two runs batted in and two runs scored while Caden Stillwell had three RBI. Matthew Ramirez also scored twice with two RBI on a pair of singles and Henry Borjas crossed home plate twice.Zack Serup picked up the win in relief, pitching the final five innings and giving up two runs, one earned, while striking out four.

Henry Borjas was 4-6 at the plate with a double, two runs batted in and three runs scored and Caden Stillwell totaled three hits with three RBI and a run scored.

Ben Drumheller pitched into the sixth inning with the start, allowing two runs while scattering four hits and striking out four. Cole Howard had a two-RBI double and Caden Stillwell picked up three hits, including a double, in the Pirate victory.

The Pirate baseball team dropped its Western State Conference opener against Los Angeles Pierce Tuesday at Pirate Park. Hunter Cervantes had a pair of hits at the platee with two runs batted in and a run scored while Huter Borjas also recorded two hits, including a double, with two RBI and a run scored. Caden Stillwell had two hits, including a double, and two runs scored and Tommy Castaneda contributed two singles with an RBI. Jacob Tostado had a quality start, throwing six complete innings and allowing four runs while scattering eight hits and striking out four.

In a game rescheduled from Thursday, the Pirate baseball team dropped a 5-2 decision at El Camino in Torrance Firday afternoon. Designated hitter Peter Dufau had a pair of hits, including a double, and a run batted in and Grant Rodriguez had two hits, a walk and an RBI. Ben Drumheller gave up fove earned runs in five innings of work while Zack Serup and Cole Blommer combined for three frames of scoreless pitching.

The Pirate baseball team dropped a 10-4 decision at Irvine Valley College Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play. Daniel Aguilera had three hits and a pair of runs batted in while Hector Pina recorded three singles and scored a run. Grant Rodriguez had a single and a double and also plated a score for the Pirates. The VC bullpen threw three innings scattering four hits and striking out three while giving up a single run.

The VC baseball team used a nine-run fifth inning to fuel a 12-6 win at Compton Saturday afternoon. Henry Borjas was 3-5 on the day wit hthree runs batted in and two runs scored to lead the way for the Pirates (2-2). Ben Drumheller knocked in a pair of runs on two hits and Matthew Ramirez scored twice for VC in the victory.Ramirez, Jacob Tostado and Lucas Martinov all had extra base hits in the game.

Victor Tostado came out of the bull pen and pitched three scoreless innings with a strikout.
