Baseball Drops WSC Opener
The Pirate baseball team returned home for their Western State Conference opener, but were unable to notch a "W", falling 8-3 to Santa Barbra City College. The big inning did the Pirates in once again as they allowed six runs to the Vaqueros in the third inning.

The Pirate baseball team returned home for their Western State Conference opener, but were unable to notch a "W", falling 8-3 to Santa Barbra City College. The big inning did the Pirates in once again as they allowed six runs to the Vaqueros in the third inning. Brian Magana had a pair of hits, including a double, and three RBI while Bradley Fullerton and Tyler Watson each had two hits while scoring a run. Michale Volaski also had a pair of safeties for the Pirates (4-9, 0-1).
VC will travel to Oxnard on Saturday March 8 for a 1:00 pm contest before returning home against the Condors on Tuesday March 11. Tuesday's game time at Pirate Park is set for 2:30 pm.
