Pirate Bats Heat Up at PCC

A day after Jackie Robinson Say was celebrated throughout major league baseball, the Pirate baseball team celebrated a victory at Jackie Robinson Field in Pasadena on Wednesday. The VC offense heated up with 14 runs and 16 hits as the Pirates defeated Pasadena City College 14-6. Michale Volaski was 3-4, including a double, with three runs scored and a pair of RBI while Brian Magana was 2-2 with two walks, two RBI and four runs scored. Garrett Serino had a pair of hits and batted in two runs and Scott Morton had two hits with an RBI. Tyler Watson threw another solid outing pitching seven shutout innings to pick up his sixth win of the year.
