Beach Volleyball headed back to the post-season
For the sixth straight season and the eighth time in nine opportunities, the Pirate beach volleyball team is headed to the post-season. Ventura has earned the No. 8-seed in the 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs and will head to No. 1 MiraCosta to take on the Spartans and No. 9 Mt. San Antonio on Tuesday Apr. 28.

Ventura finished the season with an overall record of 15-5. They also posted an 8-4 mark in the Western State Conference to tie for third place. VC's No. 1 pair of Shai Daniels and Viola Barrios just won the WSC Pairs Tournament while the Pirates No. 2 duo of Sadie Lishman and Jocelyn Alfar finished in the Top-8 in the conference to advance to the Southern California Pairs Tournament.
MiraCosta, SoCal's top-ranked squad, was 21-4 in 2026 with a 12-0 mark in the Pacific Coast Conference. Mt. San Antonio, meanwhile, posted an overall record of 16-8 and 7-3 in the South Coast Conference to finish in the runner-up spot.
Ventura will take on Mt. SAC at 11:30 am on Tuesday Apr. 28 in Oceanside before battling the hosts at 1:00 pm.
