Daniels/Barrios, Behrens/Lishman Named First Team All-WSC
VC beach volleyball pairs Shai Daniels and Viola Barrios, and Talia Behrens and Sadie Lishman were both named first team All-Western State Conference after a post-season meeting of the conference coaches. Giannamay Tayco and Addison Olson were named second team All-WSC for the Pirates, who finished the year 17-7 overall and 8-4 in conference play, finishing a strong third in the WSC standings.

Daniels and Barrios, both from Buena High School, finished the season with a 24-11 overall mark, 15-7 in dual matches playing as Ventura's top pair and 7-5 in WSC duals. The freshmen were fourth in the WSC Pairs Tournament and came back to finish fourth in the 3C2A Southern California Regionals a week later. The pair finished the season with a fifth-place finish at the 3C2A State Pairs Championships.
Meanwhile, Behrens, a St. Bonaventure High School product, and Lishman, a graduate of Santa Ynez High School, were 19-12 overall, 16-8 in dual action and 9-3 in WSC play. The sophomore and freshman duo, respectively, came in seventh in the conference championships after dropping a quarterfinal match to Daniels and Barrios. They narrowly missed a trip to the 3C2A State Championships in the SoCal Regionals.
Tayco, from Oxnard High School, and Olson, a Bakersfield High School product, came together midway through the season, posting an 11-2 overall mark. The sophomore-freshman pair were 11-1 in WSC play primarily in the No. 4 slot for Ventura.
