Women's 4x100 Relay, Women's Track & Field - Week of April 21
Barely enough time to blink an eye, yet .06 seconds is all the Pirate women's 4x100m relay team needed to claim gold Friday afternoon at the Western State Conference Championships. The quartet of Leshelle Lee (Channel Islands HS), Ashley Crist (Foothill Tech HS), Kelsey Crist (Foothill Tech HS), Chloe Williams (Buena HS) won the 400m relay by a blink of an eye, carrying the baton around the oval in 49.51 to win. The top five teams in the race were separated by a total of .63 seconds in the tightest finish of the meet.
