Ventura College, VC Athletics Celebrate 2026 Graduation
Ventura College hosted its 2026 graduation at the VC Sportsplex Friday morning. Ventura County Community College District board members and administration joined the VC administration, faculty and staff leading hundreds of 2026 graduates, including numerous Pirate student athletes, to the celebration. A total of 137 Pirate student athletes have qualified for graduation with course work completed through the fall 2025 semester, or with classes scheduled to be completed in the spring or summer of 2026.

Ventura College hosted its 2025 graduation at the VC Sportsplex Friday morning. Ventura County Community College District board members and administration joined the VC administration, faculty and staff leading hundreds of 2025 graduates, including numerous Pirate student athletes, to the celebration. A total of 120 Pirate student athletes have qualified for graduation with course work completed through the fall 2024 semester, or with classes scheduled to be completed in the spring or summer of 2025.
At least 42 of the soon-to be Pirate Athletics alumni participated in Friday's ceremonies in front of a capacity crowd at the Sportsplex.
The celebrations began on Thursday evening with the return of the Becky Hull Student Athlete Sash Ceremony. The event was last held in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic. The ceremony was also re-named in honor of Becky Hull, retired VC Athletcs Counselor, who pioneered the position and worked with Pirate student athletes for 28 years before her retirement in 2013. She was honored that year with induction into the VC Athletics Hall of Fame.
