VC Athletics Looking to add Women's Flag Football in 2025-26
The Ventua College Athletic Department is planning to begin intercollegiate women’s flag football in the 2025-26 academic year. The current plan will begin with an off-season program in the fall of 2025 and a full schedule of games in the spring of 2026.
The Ventura College Athletic Department is planning to begin intercollegiate women's flag football in the 2025-26 academic year. The current plan will begin with an off-season program in the fall of 2025 and a full schedule of games in the spring of 2026.
This spring, Southern California community colleges and 4-year universities with women's flag football programs will participate in the inaugural So Cal College Flag Football League. VC plans on joining the league in Spring 2026. The Pirates hope to announce the hiring of a Head Coach soon.
In preparation for beginning the program in the fall, VC Athletics is gauging interest in our local recruiting area for future student athletes for the program. Interested prospective student athletes who may have played high school flag football and are interested and future participation at the collegiate level are encouraged to fill out our Athletic Interest - Ventura College Women's Flag Football questionnaire.
