Student Athlete Academic Achievement Honored on Dean's Lists

Despite the movement of classes online and the cancelation of most of the spring season, student athletes at Ventura College continued to achieve academically in 2019-20. In the fall, 99 student athletes made the Dean's list, signifying a grade point average of 3.5 or above, while 107 student athletes were honored on the Dean's list in the spring 2020 semester.

In the fall semester, 99 student athletes achieved a 3.5 GPA or better, with 42 earning a perfect 4.0 mark (all A's) in their classes. Meanwhile, 107 student athletes made the Dean's List in the spring, with 47 earning a 4.0 GPA. 

For the academic year 25 student athletes earned perfect marks in the classroom.

Ventura College Athletics has long been a champion of academic achievement among its student athletes. Many Pirate programs have earned state and national honors for their work in the classroom, and VC has had 39 California Community College Athletic Association State Scholar Teams since the award was created in 1996, a state record. VC has had at least one team honored academically by the CCCAA each year for the past 20 years.
