The VC women's tennis team made the long road trip to the Central Valley on Friday to take on Modesto and Fresno City in a two-match day. VC fell to Modesto 6-3 in a battle of Pirates before being edged out by FCC 5-4 in the second match of the day. Alyssa McClain and Victoria Zegers had the most dominant wins in singles at Nos. 4 and 2, respectively, while McClain and Tanya Thompson shut out their opponents in No. 2 doubles.
